Ronald Koeman has confirmed that Wayne Rooney will put his recent off-field troubles behind him to take his place in the Everton team for the home game against Tottenham. The Blues will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing display at Stamford Bridge last time out, with Everton looking to take advantage of Tottenham’s indifferent start to the season.
Schniederlin returns from suspension to take his place in midfield alongside Idrissa Gueye. In attack, Sandro is likely to get the nod after spending the last two weeks at Finch Farm working on his fitness after the start to his Everton career was hampered by a foot injury. Dominic Calvert-Lewin could also start but may play on the right of the attack, despite Koeman admitting that his best position is through the middle.
