Ronald Koeman has confirmed that Everton will be taking to the pitch in the small town of Ruzomberok with a positive attacking philosophy. Everton will look to win the match and secure a smooth passage into the play-off round of the Europa League.
During his pre-match press conference Koeman referenced the difficulties of selecting a competitive side during ‘pre-season’.
“We know we need to make decisions on the team…It’s still the pre-season but we can’t call it pre-season because we’re playing in an important game tomorrow”.
With this in mind we are expecting Koeman to make changes from the side that won 1-0 at Goodison last Thursday evening. Pickford will start in goal and Sandro is likely to lead the line allowing Rooney to play from the left. Jagielka and Holgate are both in contention for a starting place with Williams and Martina most at risk. Tom Davies, so impressive last season is also pushing for a starting role with Kevin Mirallas likely to drop to the bench.
