Pellegrini needs to wind his neck in!

The Manchester City managers reaction to his sides victory on Wednesday night has lacked the class befitting the famous historic club he is fortunate to manage. He has wrongly used Funes Mori’s goal in the first leg and his misunderstanding of the offside rule as justification for the shocking referring which greatly assisted his side in progressing to Wembley.

Today he finally acknowledged that the referee and linesman were wrong to award City’s goal, but quickly pointed to other incidents in the match to deflect attention away from the most controversial of incidents.

He claims to never talk about decisions that affect his team, yet spent his post match interviews after the two other recent meetings between the clubs moaning about the referees to whoever would listen.

Manuel we don’t care what you think, please leave us alone and focus on beating those Kopites at Wembley.

  1. In full agreement. Also he conveniently forgets equally poor decisions at the Etihad the previous 2 seasons

  2. Sitting behind the goal with the City supporters unable to become too involved, gave me the time to reflect on past performances against top teams. So often we were out classed, out manoeuvred trying to bridge the gulf with effort and organisation. Recently a former Everton player stated we would score a goal then defend for dear life. Now we can stand toe to toe with the best. Only a couple of the city players that played on Wednesday would walk in to our multi talented side. We have very exciting times ahead.
