Roberto Martinez has said that Bryan Oviedo will be assessed ahead of Saturdays game against Chelsea at Goodison Park. The Costa Rican has been struggling with a knock that forced him to miss international duty and will have a late fitness test. “Bryan Oviedo is the one that we’re going to assess until kick off time. It’s the only concern that we have from the last game at Spurs.”
The manager also gave updates on Brendan Galloway, who he expects to be fit, and Darron Gibson. “I think Brendan is progressing well and should be available.” “Darron is training and is doing really well,” said Martinez. “It’s been good for him to increase his physical levels and he has been involved in 10 v 10s. That’s really positive.”
If neither Oviedo or Galloway are passed fit then that could hand an opportunity for new signing Ramiro Funes Mori to make his debut in the left back role.
