Deadline clock at time of writing!
After a quiet couple of days the rumour world is once again kicking into high gear. The target at this point is Andriy Yarmolenko, the 25 year old creative midfielder who many Evertonians will remember from their defeat at the hands of Dynamo Kiev in last year’s Europa League knockout phase.
“I am not looking to get a new improved contract at Dynamo. I do not think that money is the most important thing. I’m not chasing money. I’ve told (Kiev President Igor Surkis) that this is my last contract with Dynamo. I want to evolve, to move on. I have been with this team since childhood and I have been happy with everything at Dynamo, I just do not like our championship.”
Reports are suggesting that Everton have sent a delegation to the Ukraine to discuss the possible move. A bid of around £15 million would be sufficient to pry him away.
Chances of Yarmolenko arriving: 75%
Do I want it to happen: 85%
Yarmolenko is the additional creative midfielder that Martinez has been searching for this summer. The 6 foot 2 inch player has played 49 senior international games. As Martinez said when discussing Yarmolenko, “Any player who has got good ability in one-to-one situations and brings a goal-scoring threat can find a big role.”
Update: The talk about Ramiro Funes Miro of River Plate is back again and it is believed that Everton are in competition with Villareal to land the talented defender.

I am a testament to the fact that Evertonians are born. My first matches were spent sitting on one of the crush bars in the Gladwys Street end watching the Holy Trinity weaving their magic on their way to the league championship in 1970. After moving to Canada it was hard to stay connected but the popularity of the game has increased and the internet now allows me to see every game live and keep up with all things Everton.
