Believe it or not Everton first played Watford in 1982, since then the Blues have won every single Goodison meeting between the two sides. Nine matches nine Everton victories.
We don’t have video footage from all nine, but we have included three videos, all from the Pre-Premier League era.
First up is 1984-85, just look at that Everton line-up!!!
Fast forward a couple of years and it’s 1986-87 and Everton are victorious again as they march toward a second title in three seasons.
Watford were relegated the following season and didn’t play at Goodison again until the 1991-92 League Cup second round. Peter Beardsley the Everton hero.
