Traore signs in time to torment Liverpool

Everton have completed the signing of giant striker Lacina Traore, with the Ivorian joining the Blues on loan for the second half of the season.

Traore, who only signed for AS Monaco at the beginning of January, will provide much needed competition upfront, with Romelu Lukaku the only fit striker at the club. The 6ft 8, former Anhzi player will go straight into the squad for the Merseyside derby and will look to add to the goal he scored in last seasons Europa League competition against the Reds.

It is unlikely that he will be ready to start games for at least a fortnight as he looks to build his fitness and overcome a slight strain to his hamstring. But he should be ready to make an immediate impact from the substitutes bench.

  1. What a pointless article he is going to torment Liverpool, but he is not ready to start. We are shakin.

    1. Of all comments I dont think Hoof It can be associated with any Roberto Martinez team so thats just rabid Kopite rubbish. Also hes apparently quick and skilful and perversely not that great at heading, so do your homework “Sad-O!” However he wont play which alongside Barkley and prob Coleman missing gives the RS the edge im sick to say because theyre so arrogant arent they.

What do you think? Why not post a comment
