Earlier in the season, the Baggies got the better of Everton with a 2-0 victory. That after Everton had controlled the early stages of the match, but suffered when Darren Gibson was withdrawn midway through the first half with a thigh injury. Gibson has since been in and out the side through injury, but Everton always look a better team when he plays. The Irishman watched the Bolton match from the away end on Saturday and those who stood alongside him at the weekend will hope he has fully recovered from injury for this one.

In our look back at our archive footage, we return to the start of the 2004-5 season and a 2-1 home win for Everton over our Black Country opposition. Leon Osman scored both goals as Everton went on to enjoy a fantastic season and a 4th placed finish.
