West Ham 1-2 Everton
Leon Osman produced a scintillating display to fire Everton right back into the mix for the top four places in the Premier League.
Despite the referee doing all he could to grab the headlines, it was a performance from England international Leon Osman that stole the show. Superb throughout, Osman was only denied a goal by the bazaar officiating that left both managers seething. Ossie was not be outshone and dictated play throughout the match, creating the winner with a brilliant shimmy in the box which created yards of space and time to set up Pienaar to bundle the ball home.
David Moyes was left purring after the match and showered praise on Osman, who was forced to play from the right due to injury and suspension.
If anyone deserve to be picked for England it was Leon Osman after today’s performance. He was on a different planet to anyone on the pitch.
In truth it was an excellent away performance from the Blues, who battled back from going behind in the first half to secure all three points. Victor Anichebe had scored Everton’s equalizer before Pienaar scored the winner. Sandwiched in between the goals was a bazaar red card for Cartlon Cole of West Ham and the referee equaled things up in the dying minutes with a bemusing sending off for Darren Gibson.
