Fulham 2-2 Everton
Despite dominating for the entire 90 minutes Everton managed to turn a certain victory into a frustrating point at Craven Cottage as Everton left the banks of the Themes with a 2-2 draw.
Missing chance after chance, Everton failed to capitalise on the Londoners mediocrity, and were left to rue Steven Sidwell’s stoppage time equaliser. It was a strong team performance from Everton, who came from behind, with two well taken goals from the brilliant Fellaini, to take what seemed a well deserved three points, only for individual mistakes to peg them back and make the long journey home downbeat and struggling to understand how they had failed to take a stranglehold on a top four position.
Everton will need to learn from this if they are to hold serious Champions League aspirations, and too many draws can have a significant impact on lofty aspirations.
